Renika J. Smiley is the founder and former Executive Director of Generation NOW Cincinnati Network, where she strives to built and leveraged a diverse and inclusive workforce for young professionals and youth in Greater Cincinnati. This has been made available through professional development, training, job placement, and the creation of leadership and mentorship opportunities through networking.
Renika sits on the board of the Women’s Business Center of Greater Cincinnati, Cincinnati Ballet, Give Back Cincinnati, and Cincy YP, expanding her current community work throughout Greater Cincinnati. In addition, she holds an extensive background in Marketing and Event Promotions. Her expertise ranges from sponsorship consulting, non-Profit design and creation, program development, social media marketing, branding strategies, and event planning.
In recent years, Renika directed her marketing and urban promotions expertise towards political campaigns for a number of local and national candidates including, but not limited to, Hillary Clinton, Roxanne Qualls, Alicia Reece, and Yvette Simpson. She is a renowned political activist for the legalization of recreational cannabis. She joined Glenhouse Strategies as a key stakeholder in the company's cannabis operation where she leads the business development and expansion strategies. She studied marketing and communications at the University of Cincinnati.
